Session fees vary by the type of photography, and we offer print and digital packages to suit every budget. Our Pricing & Packages page lists current rates for graduation, headshots, family, children, maternity and more, and we are always happy to walk you through your options with no pressure.

You can book online in a few clicks, or call us at (902) 830-3232 and we will help you choose the right session and time. You will receive preparation tips and details about what to expect before your visit. No deposit is required to hold a standard in-studio time slot, and you pay for your chosen package at the studio after your session. A 50% deposit is required to reserve cake smash sessions, event photography, wedding photography and on-location photo sessions, and it is due before we can confirm your booking.

No problem. Simply book your session to reserve your date, and we will talk through your options and help you choose the package that suits you best once you arrive at the studio. Because we photograph in Live View, you will see your portraits on our big screen as we shoot, which makes choosing your favourites and your package easy.

Of course, life happens. We do not take a deposit for standard in-studio sessions, so we simply ask for at least 24 hours’ notice, or to hear from you as soon as you know you cannot make it, so that we can offer your time to another client. We truly appreciate your kindness and understanding.

Because photography is a custom service, we are unable to offer refunds after your session is complete. Once the time, expertise and studio resources have been devoted to your session, the service has been fully rendered. However, if you are unhappy with any part of the experience, we will work with you to make it right.

You will be warmly welcomed by our team, and we will review your booking and session details. Graduates are given the appropriate gown, hood and cap, and there is time to change or freshen up before we begin. Then we photograph you in Live View, so you see every image appear on our big screen as we shoot.

Yes. Our in-studio sessions are photographed in Live View, so every image appears on our large studio monitors the moment it is captured. You watch your portraits take shape in real time, then choose your favourites on the big screen with our team and decide on prints or digital files during the same visit.

Session length varies by type. Graduation portrait sessions typically take 20–45 minutes, family sessions run 45–60 minutes, and headshot sessions are usually 30–45 minutes. Specialty sessions like newborns or cake smash may take up to 2 hours. We will let you know exactly what to expect when you book.

We recommend solid colours rather than busy patterns, and avoiding logos or writing on clothing. Neutral tones, jewel tones and classic styles photograph beautifully, and for family sessions we suggest coordinating colours without being too matchy-matchy. Absolutely. Please let us know ahead of time if you will be bringing pets or a larger group so we can prepare the studio accordingly. We love photographing families, friends and furry companions, and you can learn more about our pet photography sessions.

Yes. We provide official academic gowns, hoods and caps for many local institutions, including Dalhousie University, Saint Mary’s University, Mount Saint Vincent University and NSCC. You do not need to bring or rent anything. Learn more about gowns and hoods and our graduation portraits.

You view your session live on our big screen at the studio and choose your favourites right there, and we retouch them as needed. Prints are typically ready in 5–7 business days, or faster with express service. Digital files can be added to any package, and professional headshot clients receive their photo the same day.

Yes. Basic retouching is included in most packages. We also offer digital images, prints, canvases, albums and more, and you choose what suits you when you review your photos on the big screen, with no pressure to purchase anything you do not love.
