Do you offer outdoor pet photography in Halifax?

Yes! In addition to our professional indoor studio, we offer sessions in our private outdoor studio space. This natural, distraction-free setting is perfect for high-energy action shots. We are experienced in working with pets on-leash and use professional editing to seamlessly remove leashes from your final portraits, ensuring your pet’s safety throughout the session.

Can I take graduation photos with my pet?

Absolutely! We specialize in graduation legacy portraits for students from Dalhousie, SMU, MSVU, King’s College, and St. FX, as well as HRM High Schools. Best of all, there is no need to rent your regalia—we provide the academic hoods and gowns for these schools in-studio as part of your session.

What should I bring to my pet's photo shoot?

Please bring high-value treats, your pet's favorite squeaky toy, and any special outfits. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early so your pet can acclimate to the studio smells and environment.

How to Prepare for Your Session

Preparation is the key to a stress-free experience. Here is how we work together to capture those perfect, soulful moments.

1. Energy Management

Dogs: A long walk or play session 1 hour before the shoot helps them arrive relaxed.

Cats: Keep their morning calm and bring their favorite "safe space" carrier to the studio.

2. Grooming & Aesthetics

A bath 1-2 days before the session makes coats shine. Please check for "eye goop" before arrival, as our high-resolution cameras catch every detail!

3. The "Bribe" Kit

We have treats, but please bring your pet's "jackpot" favorites (the extra-smelly ones!) and a squeaky toy to help us get those adorable head tilts.

4. Arrival & Acclimation

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early. This gives your pet time to sniff the studio, get used to the smells, and settle in before we start the "Live Shooting" experience.

5. Graduation & Family

Students: Please have your MSVU, Dal, SMU, or St. FX gown steamed. Owners should wear colors that complement their pet’s fur for a cohesive look.

6. Just Have Fun
